Helly Hansen Crew Jacket Black

REVIEW – Helly Hansen Crew Jacket

20th July 2017 | bluesheets | Follow on Apple News

The Helly Hansen Crew Jacket is a great multi-purpose jacket.  A solid performer for when the weather turns a bit chilly.  Its 2-ply construction with DWR treatment ensures it stays waterproof and windproof whilst remaining breathable.

The jacket is hip length and has the usual draw cord toggles at the hem which enable you to seal the waist when the wind picks up.

The lined zip pockets are a nice touch along with the Velcro adjustable cuffs.

We tested the black jacket which looks smart, however it does also come in a wide range of other colours including white, red and navy to suit all tastes.

This was a versatile jacket that we wore on every occasion from working on the boat to walking the dog on those chilly windy mornings to picking the kids up from school.

Good Points

Great looking jacket
Lined, zipped pockets

Bad Points

Not as breathable as some of the the HH Professional Range (but not intended to be)

The crew jacket is an excellent multi-purpose jacket that was frequently chosen over other jackets for day to day use, as well as afternoons out on the water. It’s a good all-rounder with a fitted look but enough room for a mid-layer should the temperature drop.
